We know as a Recording or gigging musician that your time is very valuable. That is why we take the extra measures, so that you will be rest assured when you purchase Audio Tubes through Whole Tone Music. We test all of the Audio tubes that we sell through a vintage Hickok Tube Analyzer/Tester and test for microphonics in a 64' Fender Super Reverb with all the controls dimed, so you receive audio tubes of the highest level of quality. We run the audio tubes rigorously through a 5 point inspection. Here is what we test for: 1- Check filament and heater continuity. 2- Check all electrical connections within the tube for electrical shorts. 3- Test the Mutual Conductance (GM) Trans-conductance of tube when applicable (Rectifier Tubes excluded) 4- Test tube performance under adverse conditions (with reduced filament voltage) which tests the reliability & longevity of the tube. 5-Test for gas leakage. If the tube fails in any of the quality control check points it sent to the manufacturer for replacement.
